The Icon: Michelle Pfeiffer in Scarface

"I'm not stoned. You're stoned."

I've finally watched Scarface (1983). And you know what? Yeah, it was okay, but most importantly, it had a killer display of clothes.

Actually, the killer display was both good and bad; good, as in "Elvira (a.k.a. Michelle Pfeiffer) has a killer f-ing wardrobe", and bad, as in "those tropic shirts and the suits these men wear could turn me into their killer".

But let's stick to the positive.

I quite loved Elvira's look. She has made me realize that in order to be the wife of a drug-dealing kingpin, you need to abide by the following (fashion) rules:

1) Though one should never get high on their own supply, you should, so you can be ridiculously thin and wear near to nothing satin dresses and not look fat.
2) Ditto for smoking.
3) Cat-eye sunglasses and a big hat are a must for daytime attire.
4) In fact, forget all of the above and just be very 80s' chic.

But make sure your husband is taller than you, so you can wear heels.
