Cruel Intentions (1999) may be one of the greatest films ever. And Kathryn Merteuil (a.k.a. Sarah Michelle Gellar) may be one of the greatest villainous characters ever.
Not to mention the most stylish.
She's apparently a bulimic cokehead, but with that wardrobe, it doesn't even matter. She's fantastic.
Kathryn wears a lot of dark dresses, tops and skirts, naturally to represent her wicked personality, but they are also all mainly in sheer or light fabrics, obviously because of her deviant sexual behaviour.
Has any wardrobe ever been this perfect?
P.S. Major props to the costume designer for creating something so brilliant at the end of the 90s. I remember the style back then, and it was not this good.
